Student halls: a place of refuge, revision and super noodles. Yet Unite Students’ online presence didn’t reflect the welcoming, human service they provide. Their interior photography was cold and clinical and didn’t stand out from their competitors. They asked us to showcase their ‘homes for success’ and revitalise their online presence. No mean feat, with 162 properties across the UK.

We went on tour! We propped, steamed and preened student bedrooms from Aberdeen to Bournemouth, styling and art directing both interior and lifestyle shots. Set dressing in ways that felt warm and lived in but attainable for the Unite resident budget was key to this project’s success. Creating style briefs for building managers meant that Unite Students could recreate this in their show flats, continuing their new online presence in the building itself.

Alongside a revamp of Unite Students’ content bank, we also created their acquisition and retention campaigns with zingy graphics and stock imagery that focuses less on location and more on student lifestyle.
